Z Block DHA PHASE 3 since 1998:-

People claim that there is a big haunted house in DHA Phase 3 sector Z, which has been subjected to several exorcisms but the ghosts refuse to leave despite the owner’s attempt. Some people claim that one of the family member or the Owner was MURDERED inside the said house. After his murder, the house is unable to use for living.

It is believed that this is why the price of that property is considerably low. Some people might firmly maintain the belief that some ghosts were looking for some cheap plots in DHA and when they failed to find one (thanks to the property prices there) they simply haunted that house and started living there. People told me these stories and I haven’t inspected these houses personally since yet. If you have any stories to share kindly do so in the comments section below.

In Lahore one in T block and other in Sector W, Defence Housing Society. I have heard one of these houses that was located beside one of the busiest roads and must have a value of more then 10 Million Rupees. But nobody wants to buy it even at 1/10 of market value. Some time ago Haunted houses were in jungle or some unpopulated areas. Now I think trend has changed. Ghosts are becoming more and more materialistic. Similarly, Lahore Defense - T Block - PH3 - reports of an apparition of a girl in white clothes, who may be murdered and burried inside the said house.

A two-storey house in Sector W, Defence Housing Society, PH3, holds what seem to be more alarming spirits. Residents have apparently been chased, thrown about and eventually scared away from the house, exorcisms have been performed, but to no avail. The house now stands vacant, its price having crashed.... One house is also haunted in DHA PH:3, sector "S".

CONCLUSION:

PHASE 3 OF DHA Lahore is the most affected phase with the ghosts and spirits. In early days of 1980s and before, the location where DHA PH 3 exists, consists of jungle and agricultural land. Nobody lives in these areas of the affected phase. Few of the population areas were remains same in these DHA Phases as VILLAGES also today.

At city schools and elite colleges, groups of teenagers gather data about haunted homes, and then visit them at night. One such house stands in the Cantonment area, and has been regarded locally as haunted since its owner was murdered a few years ago. "No one wants to purchase such a property. There are supernatural beings found under trees at the house. Sometimes they take the form of snakes," says Adnan, a local shopkeeper.

The interest in the occult, in fortune telling and in magic is at an all-time high in the city, and private tuition classes are being given to teach people more about the subject. It is therefore not surprising that 'haunted' houses should attract so much interest. Perhaps in a reflection of the now fashionable trend involving an interest in the unknown, the number of 'haunted' houses in the city appears to have increased. Somewhat surprisingly, the largest number seems to have cropped up in new areas, such as Defence DHA Lahore, where construction began in earnest only 20 years ago, since 1997. Or again, this could simply be because people living in the older parts of the city are content to live quietly with whatever ghosts inhabit their lives, and are less apt to discuss haunting, ghosts or the presence of cytoplasm.

A US-based website, Shadowlands‚ now lists a growing number of houses based in Lahore that are said to be haunted. It is clear that the information about them is coming from people in the city. They include a home in 'T' Block in Defence Phase 3 Lahore, where there are reports of an apparition of a girl in white clothes. At another home in Gulberg OR on the roadside in Gulberg Area, witnesses said a man in white clothes, apparently cricket gear, appears from time to time. He disappears when approached, but has never been known to cause harm.

**  (I gathered information that one house in each block of DHA Phase 3 - Sectors Z, W, T, S and may be one house is haunted in DHA Ph:3, Sector Y (Y Block) near MCDONALDS are haunted and prices of the land and houses are very low in nearby these houses).

The houses, located in a posh area, has become a favourite place for teensagers. Bricks have been pulled out of the wall making it easier to scramble over. Neighbours report that young men, and girls, often stomp across the house, apparently seeking ghosts. None, so far, seem to have stepped forward to oblige them. But, perhaps unsurprisingly, given that the visits have often taken place after midnight, some teenagers have been known to flee the place, complaining of sensing the presence of the supernatural. Sceptics maintain almost any deserted house, late at night, with its gardens overgrown and unkempt, can produce a feeling of eeriness.

Another house in Defence Colony, abandoned for over five years by its owner who insisted he felt uneasy living there, is also a similar playground for the daring.

The Defence Housing Authority, Lahore (DHA Lahore) is a housing society located in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan. Much like Askari Housing Society, Lahore, DHA too was originally built for army officers (as Civil & Defence Officers Cooperative Housing Society and later as Lahore Cantonment Cooperative Housing Society - LCCHS), but soon it became a Housing Scheme for all people. The area has also undergone extensive gentrification, bringing in a more wealthy base. The recent influx of population from the adjoining areas has also given birth to a number of problems and the crime rate has also gone up. As a result of this, DHA guards have stepped up patrolling.

During the past five years, developers have claimed extraterritorial land, which has increased new development in the area. New developments include a world-class golf resort in partnership with Bandar Raya of Malaysia in Phase 6 of DHA and a shopping and office complex in partnership with Global Haly of the United Kingdom in Phase 2 of DHA.

DHA encompasses two famous shopping centres, known as the 'Y-block' market and the 'H-block' market. Y-block has also had the honor of playing host to one of Lahore's very first tattoo shop as well. DHA Y Block also has a Sports Club, gym, and a large commercial swimming pool (design, execution and supply & installation of pool equipment by Jopic Pool) and other sports facilities for the community. DHA Lahore main office was also located at Phase III, Sector Y but the management has decided to relocate the office at Phase VI, Sector A, just to accommodate number of people, who visit office on daily basis. There are other smaller commercial markets in DHA- like T block which has many cafes - like Hot spot, Jammin - Java and various other salons. T block commercial area also has the very first swimming pool & spa equipment display center called Olympic Pool. Two international standard sports complexes have been planned in the area and construction has started on the projects as of 2011.

HAUNTED PARK IN LAHORE DHA:-

A park in DHA SOCIETY LAHORE also exists which is occupied by an unknown alien, known as the GHOUL (a bad spirit). A team of WKH program (Woh kia hai) visited in 2014. This Park is also HAUNTED. Nobody dares to move in the said park after sunset. Strange voices of the Ghoul can easily be heard by the nearby residents of the said Park at late night. Unknown and strange happenings had happened with the nearby residents. They claim that a woman lived in this park and make noise after sunset....
